Family photography
Natural, lifestyle family photography that captures the real connections between you and your loved ones. Whether at home in your own space or outdoors on the beautiful South Downs, my relaxed approach means no awkward posing — just genuine moments of togetherness that you will treasure forever.

Your Session
Your family session — what to expect
At home sessions
There is something special about photographing families in their own space. The kitchen where you have breakfast together, the sofa where you read bedtime stories, the garden where the children play. At-home sessions capture your real life — the mess, the laughter, the comfortable chaos. These sessions are perfect for families with babies and toddlers who feel most relaxed in familiar surroundings.
Outdoor sessions
Sussex offers beautiful natural locations for family photography. The rolling South Downs, ancient woodland, sandy beaches, and peaceful parks provide stunning backdrops for relaxed outdoor sessions. I know the best spots in Worthing, Brighton, and across West Sussex for beautiful light and private settings. Golden hour sessions in autumn and summer are particularly magical, with warm light and space for children to run and explore naturally.
What to wear
I recommend coordinating colours rather than matching exactly. Neutral, earthy tones — creams, tans, soft greens, dusty blues — photograph beautifully and will not date your images. Avoid large logos, busy patterns, or neon colours. Most importantly, choose comfortable clothes that you feel confident in. If the children are comfortable, they will be more relaxed and natural in front of the camera.
Your gallery
You will receive a minimum of 30 fully edited images delivered within 2 weeks. Your private online gallery allows you to view):, download and share your photos with family and friends. Full print release is included, so you can order prints and products from anywhere. I also offer guidance on printing, framing and creating photo books.

Family photography questions
Coordinate rather than match exactly. Stick to neutral, earthy tones — creams, tans, olive greens, dusty blues, soft greys. Avoid large logos, busy patterns, or bright neon colours. Most importantly, wear something comfortable that you feel confident in. If you would like guidance, I am happy to review outfit choices before your session.
I know many beautiful locations across West Sussex and the South Downs — ancient woodland, coastal paths, country parks, and quiet beaches. We will discuss your preferences and I will recommend locations based on your family (young children might prefer enclosed spaces, teenagers might enjoy more dramatic landscapes). Travel is included within Sussex.
Family sessions typically last 1-2 hours, depending on the package and the ages of your children. Shorter sessions work well for families with young babies or toddlers, while longer sessions allow time for multiple locations or outfit changes. We always work at your pace.
Absolutely! Grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles — large family gatherings create wonderful photographs. For extended family sessions, I recommend an at-home session or a location with plenty of space. I will guide the group while keeping things relaxed and natural.
Every age is wonderful! Squishy newborns, curious toddlers, energetic school-age children, moody teenagers — each stage has its own magic. I recommend annual family sessions to document how your family grows and changes. The images become more precious with every passing year.
